Washington DC: Road Biking in Northern Virginia on the Washington & Old Dominion Rail Trail

I was in Washington last week for some meetings.  I've been thinking about getting involved in some political fundraising.  



I did some road biking and met my second cousins.  The bike ride along the Washington & Old Dominion Rail Trail started at my cousins' house in Falls Church, VA and ended in Leesburg, VA.   Along the way I stopped at the Whole Foods in Vienna, VA  and took a little nap under a plum tree.  It was a 61 mile round trip and I enjoyed seeing a new place and some historical towns.  In addition to seeing my cousins again, the one place I would like to go back and see again is Leesburg.  The town seemed full of pubs, historical sites (Civil War battle of Balls Bluff) and beautiful scenery.
